.:flashback friday:.

in 1988, after appearing in a re-current role on the hit series miami vice, sheena easton released the gold-selling album the lover in me. the urban r&b album received positive reviews and introduced easton to an r&b audience as it featured collaborations with l.a. & babyface, prince, angela winbush, and jellybean benitez. the title track reached top 5 on both the pop and r&b charts. the equally funky days like this failed at pop radio but managed to reach top 40 on the r&b chart. this is my fave sheena easton song and i remember her performing the hell out of it on the arsenio hall show (damn! i'm old!). here's to a diva who loved lace as much as i did!
