in 1988's, under the production of jimmy jam &terry lewis, cherrelle released her third album affair. like her previous albums, affair reached gold status. some people are not aware but but the funky sound of janet's control was a carbon copy of cherrell's high priority album. while pop success eluded cherrelle, she was a force to reckoned with on the r&b charts. the title track from affair reached top 5 on the r&b chart and the follow-up single, the now quiet storm classic, everything i miss at home was an r&b #1 record. here's to miss cherrelle!.:affair (extended club mix):.
