as a gay man, i know that my club membership is in danger whenever i admit that i am not a huge madonna fan. i do however appreciate her and her contributions to the entertainment world. anywho, ray of light is hands down my fave madonna album. no, it is one of my fave albums of all time. frozen, the lead single from that album is a hauntingly beautiful positive affirmation. here is a hot freestyle mix. enjoy!
in 2000 madonna co-starred in the motion picture the next best thing. i have yet to see the movie. she recorded a couple of tunes for the film's soundtrack, including this absolutely amazing cover of the pop classic american pie. this is one of my all time fave madonna tunes because managed to bring a 60's folk tune into the new millennium but also kept the song's original charm. not an easy feat. check it out!
madge has much to freestyle for. her early hits everybody and holiday borrowed heavily from the freestyle sound and helped cement her status as a dance diva. here is a cool break beat mix of her tune the beat goes on. while many mainstream artist shy away from dance music, madge has always stated that the dance sound were her roots! 
she's back! if you have not heard her new tune 4 minutes to save the world, you have been living under a rock. you won't hear it here - look around. i have been gettin' complaints and i love my blog too much to jeopardize it. anywho - the track is cool. can't wait to hear the hq version.

the third and final single released from janet's 20 y.o. was the sultry and beautifully sung with u. while i could understand why call on me and so excited failed at radio, i could not comprehend how radio let this jewel of a song slip through their hands. with u is the best ballad jan has recorded since 1997's everytime and it should have put her back where she belongs - on top of the charts. here are two mixes of this great tune. check 'em out!
