in 2000 madonna co-starred in the motion picture the next best thing. i have yet to see the movie. she recorded a couple of tunes for the film's soundtrack, including this absolutely amazing cover of the pop classic american pie. this is one of my all time fave madonna tunes because managed to bring a 60's folk tune into the new millennium but also kept the song's original charm. not an easy feat. check it out!.:american pie:.
The movie's not bad actually!! The weird thing is that this song doesn't fit the movie, lol.
