.:FULL OF STEAM:.

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT RIHANNA CAME OFF AS COLD ON THAT 20/20 INTERVIEW? IT IS NO SECRET THAT SHE WAS HOLDING BACK, BUT I THOUGHT I'D HAVE MORE SYMPATHY, FEEL MORE COMPASSION BUT TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST, THE INTERVIEW WAS PAINFUL TO WATCH. OH WELL, SHE IS GONNA WORK THIS STORY TO SELL THIS RECORD. I AIN'T HATIN' THE HUSSLE, MAYBE THE MUSIC BUT NOT THE HUSSLE.

  1. I noticed some emotion but it was odd. i couldn't put a finger on it and i normally am able to read people really well. as for the music. i completely agree with you.

  2. yes there was some emotion. and like you i am great at reading people but very much like you, i was trying to figure where the connection was being lost. maybe i was expecting more. she didn't come across as vulnerable as i think her managers would have like her to be. and some questions she just seems like an ice princess. maybe it was the editing but diane sawyer had to do so much leading because rihanna wasn't giving as much. i dunno. also she seemed cold when she was shown his taped apology from months ago. of course he was reading from a teleprompter, only a fool wouldn't. any word he says would be picked apart, much like hers and it she acted as if she didn't seem to understand or be aware of that.

  3. I thought she came across as strong, and smart. I think she wanted to hold it all together. When she got choked up talking about how she had to leave Chris because she thought of all the young girls in similar situations who might get hurt... you could see that she's sitting on a lot of emotion. I applaud her for being strong and speaking out.

  4. i agree, i applaud for speaking out. for this is an issue that deserves attentions, especially as it relates to young women. maybe she was sitting on lot of emotion but she seems guarded and as a counselor that signals to me that she was not quite ready to speak about it, not on such a large scale. i am willing to be wrong. maybe no one is ever ready to discuss that on national tv.

  5. i thought the most surprising statement she said was that she was embarrassed to have fallen in love with this type of person who would beat a girl. that was a very powerful statement in my opinion. And it is a little sleazy to be doing this interview now to sell her new record.
