.:stylin' free sunday:.

picture it - 1997 and i was dancing for freestyle artist lil suzy (of take me in your arms fame). one of my first shows with her was in texas and i was nervous because i was the new dancer. anywho, my dance partner began to play the piano in the hotel lobby and i was like "wow, you're good!" and he was like "yeah, i write music but i suck at lyrics." i replied "really, i write lyrics." he then said "yo, we're cute and we can dance - we should be a group." so with absolutely no history of singing or lessons, i said "why not?" he produced this record and on the morning we were scheduled to record he said "yo, write a song cuz we record in an hour." so i took one my poems and here is the outcome. soon lil suzy recorded a verse (i no longer have that version). oh yeah, why did we name ourselves no shame? unlike other dancers at shows who would stretch and drink water, mike and i would eat steaks and drink soda. once a dance said "y'all don't care about what other dancers think, huh?" and mike and i both replied at the same time "no, we have no shame." so no shame kinda stuck. so here is one of the tunes we recorded. my humble vocals are heard on the first bridge and second verse. this mix has background harmonies from former tazmania recording artist soniya. enjoy. if the response isn't horrific, i may post some other tunes. :-)
