probably the most famous contestant of the late 70's cult classic game show the gong show, cheryl lynn became a successful r&b star in the late 70's and early 80's. her debut single got to be real, which was inducted to the dance music hall of fame. in 1984 cheryl scored a top 10 r&b hot with encore, a song that has been sampled numerous times in hip-hop. the beat is still slammin' and the vocals still hold up in 2008. check it out!.:encore:.
