riding off the success of boyz II men, motown records had regained the pop domination that it once had in the 1950's and 1960's. after releasing one album on a&m records, shanice released her motown debut inner child in 1991. lead by the super hit i love your smile, shanice quickly became an artist to watch. the second single i'm crying was not released to radio although a video was released. the single that became the radio hit was the johnny gill featured silent prayer. while the latter was a moving tribute to soldiers over seas, i'm crying gave me and continues to give me chills. check it out!.:i'm crying:.
