after frontin' the female trio the braxtons in the 90's, toni braxton's baby sister tamar released her self-titled debut album in early 2000. the album yeilded two singles. the singles failed to gain signifigant radio and video airplay and ultimately the album didn't sell well. the second single, the latocha scott (of xscape) written ballad if you don't wanna love me was remixed by dance guru hex hector and managed to chart on billboard's dance chart. too bad that tamar could not break from her sister's shadow because her album was and remains a great piece of work.
