IF YOU HAD ASKED ME IN 1998 WHAT NEW ARTIST WAS SURE TO HAVE A SUSTAINING CAREER, I WOULD HAVE ANSWERED JENNIFER PAIGE. WITH HER UNDERSTATED GOOD LOOKS AND SULTRY VOICE, I WAS SURE THAT SHE WOULD BECOME AMERICA'S NEXT DARLING. I WAS WRONG. HOWEVER, SHE DID SCORE ONE OF 1998'S BIGGEST HIT WITH THE SUPER CATCHY POP GEM CRUSH. THE SONG REACHED #2 ON THE POP CHART AND IS STILL CONSIDERED A POP STAPLE. NOT BAD, JEN. NOT BAD.

WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, GO INTO THE VAULT AND PULL OUT A DONNA SUMMER CLASSIC. THAT'S WHAT MISS JENNY DID AND THANKFULLY SO. THE VOCALLY CHALLENGED SINGER NEEDS TO STICK WITH TUNES THAT ARE MELODICALLY DRIVE AND THIS TUNE IS NO EXCEPTION. PRODUCED BY DAVID GUETTA, THE SUPER PRODUCER OF THE MOMENT, THIS SONG IS SURE TO BE A CLUB HIT. NOW WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE IF RADIO EMBRACES THIS TRACK.

SO I WAS LISTENING TO THIS JOJO SONG AND I KEPT ASKING MYSELF "WHY THE HELL DOES THIS SONG SOUND FAMILIAR?" THEN IT FINALLY HIT ME. IT'S THAT DAMN CHRISETTE MICHELE SONG. OF COURSE BECAUSE I AM NOT A HUGE FAN OF MS. MICHELE IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO REALIZE IT. WRITTEN BY NE-YO, WHAT YOU DO IS A RATHER CATCHY TUNE. SO CATCHY IN FACT THAT J-LO HERSELF COULD HAVE SANG IT AND MADE IT SOUND GOOD. BUT SHE DIDN'T (THANK GOD). SO FOR THIS INSTALLMENT OF "KICK ASS" WE HAVE TWO YOUNG DIVAS GOING HEAD-TO-HEAD. WHO DO YOU DECLARE THE WINNER?
